Pharmacy Department celebrates Pharmacy Technician Day.
The Pharmacy Technician Department joined the rest of the world to celebrate Pharmacy Technician Day.
The celebration this year was held at the Niger State School of Health, Minna and the team from the College was led by the Head of Pharmacy Technician Department, Pharm. Dr. Murtala Sanusi as well as staff and students of the department.
At the event, the Head of Department stressed the importance of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
He urged his students to concentrate fully on their studies and stressed their importance in the administration of health care delivery worldwide and further urged them to continue striving to be among the best in the world.
The Pharmacy Technician Day is a day set aside internationally to celebrate Pharmacy Technicians as part of events to Celebrate “Pharmacy Week”.
The Pharmacy week is a time to recognize the powerful impact Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians make on their patients, It is also an opportunity to raise patients awareness about the vital role pharmacists play in the healthcare team. The event was first held between 11th and 17th October, 1925.
