The Newgate College Alumni Association held a hiking excursion and Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together former students and staff for a day of camaraderie and reflection as part of activities in commemoration of the College’s 10th Year Anniversary Celebration.
The hiking trip, held on Tuesday, 10th September saw alumni members explore the scenic trails of Tayi Mountain, enjoying breathtaking views and rekindling old friendships.
Following the hike, the group convened for the AGM, where they discussed association matters, shared updates, and elected new executives.
The event provided a platform for alumni to reconnect with one another and with the college, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. “It’s always a pleasure to reunite with fellow alumni and celebrate our shared experiences,” said Mal. Idris Yahaya, newly elected President.

In continuation of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the College, a cultural display is scheduled for Wednesday, 11th September 2024.
