The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria today begun a two day Re-accreditation exercise of MLT department.
The team held a closed door meeting with Management of the College before they began an assessment tour of College facilities.
The team also held an interactive session with students from all levels of the department as part of the assessment exercise.
MLSCON is a Federal Government Statutory Regulatory Agency established by Act 11 of 2003, “To regulate the training of Scientist, Technicians and Medical Laboratory Assistants”.
The exercise is scheduled to end on 30th of September, 2022.
The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria today 30th September,2022 completed the Re-accreditation exercise of Medical Laboratory Technician department.
As parts of the accreditation excercise, the team visited IBB Specialist Hospital’s Medical Laboratory department which serves as the major SIWES facility for students of the department.
In addition, the team held a meeting with the Pro-chancellor of Newgate University Minna, Mall. Hassan Nuhu who doubles as the Founder, Newgate College as well as Management staff of the College after the exercise.
The team lead expressed satisfaction on what they witnessed during the two day exercise and urged Management to keep up the good work of training competent Medical Laboratory Technicians for the benefit of humanity.
