The Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna, Niger state has graduated 701 students during its 7th Convocation ceremony held at the Idris Legbo Kutigi Conference Centre, Minna.

Speaking during the convocation ceremony, the Niger state Governor, Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello ably represented by Prof. Abubakar Baba Aliyu stated that government will continue to support the College in the best possible ways. He added that the government will continue to provide an enabling environment for the private institutions to thrive.

He however reiterated that in as much as the government want to encourage business development and private sector players, his administration will not close its eyes to the reality. The Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology must ensure that minimum standards are met before granting approval for establishment and admission of students.

In his address, the Founder of the College Mallam Hassan Nuhu admonished the students to be good ambassadors of the College wherever they are.

The Provost of the College Mrs Queendaline Opara Iwuala apprciated the Founder, Mall. Hassan for providing an enabling environment for the students to thrive. She assured that the College will remain committed, consistent and dedicated in making sure that good products are made available to the society.

Highlights of the occasion include the award of scholarship to the best graduating students to study at the newly established Newgate University, Minna and a gift of deep freezer by Rt. Hon. Marafa Guni, member representing Chanchaga constituency.
