The Newgate College of Health Technology Minna, Niger state has graduated 478 students from 8 departments of the institution in its 6th convocation ceremony.
The ceremony, hosted high profile dignitaries having the special guest of honour, Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello ably represented by Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Bawa Wuse, the Speaker of Niger State House of Assembly, the Emir of Kagara, HRH. Alhaji Ahmad Garba-Gunna who served as the Royal Father of the Day, Provost and VC’s from other sister institutions as well as other notable dignitaries.
The Institution conferred on Ahmed Marafa Guni an Honorary Award of which it henceforth, all scholarship awards will be named after him and the over all best graduating student was offered a 100% scholarship into the proposed Newgate University that may kick off soon.
In addition, Rt. Hon. Ahmad Marafa Gunni pledged the sum of N50,000 each to all best graduating students from the various departments.
The graduating students graduated from 8 accredited departments in the institution that include Community Health, Environmental Health, Health Information Management, Nutrition & Dietetics, Medical Laboratory Technician, HND Public Health Nursing, Health Education & Promotion, Pharmacy Technician and Anaesthesia Department.
