In a significant stride towards the forthcoming National Council Examination, the College hosted the verification team of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN). The visit, which was both official and ceremonial, marked an important phase in ensuring the College’s readiness for the nationwide professional assessment.
The delegation was led by the Examination Centre Coordinator, Starlady Joy Enweremadu Azubike, alongside the Technical System Specialist and Quality Assurance Officer. Their mandate was to conduct a thorough verification of both candidates and institutional resources in line with the Board’s standards.
During the visit, the CHPRBN team held a formal meeting with the College Management led by the Provost, Mrs. Queendaline Opara Iwuala, Management Staff, and the Community Health Department. The session provided an opportunity to review facilities, interact with staff, and assess the preparedness of the institution for the week-long examinations.
As part of their duties, the team also verified the examination cards of students, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality assurance procedures. This exercise was critical in guaranteeing that only duly registered and eligible candidates will participate in the forthcoming examination.
According to the Board’s schedule, the examinations will commence on Monday with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) component, while the Clinical Practicals will take place between Thursday and Friday. This structure is designed to comprehensively assess the knowledge, skill, and competence of the candidates as they prepare to join the ranks of certified Community Health Practitioners in Nigeria.
The Provost, Mrs. Queendaline Opara Iwuala, commended the Board for its thorough process and reaffirmed the College’s commitment to supporting students and upholding professional standards. She also expressed confidence in the ability of the finalists to excel, describing them as worthy ambassadors of the College.
