The Newgate family once again recorded a landmark achievement as our sister institution, Newgate University Minna, celebrated her Founder’s Day in a truly historic ceremony.
The colourful event witnessed the investiture of Chief J. K. Gadzama, OFR, SAN as Chancellor and Mallam Hassan Nuhu, Mayanan Minna — Founder of Newgate University Minna — as Pro-Chancellor. This moment stands as a testament to the enduring vision, dedication, and commitment of the Founder in establishing the University as a citadel of excellence and leadership.
Another highlight of the day was the commissioning of the Dr. Suleyman Ndanusa Innovation and Business Development Centre, performed by Hajia Zainab Kuchi, former Minister of Power and Niger Delta Affairs. The Centre is envisioned to serve as a hub of creativity, enterprise, and innovation for students and the wider community.
Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna, was also well represented, with the Provost, Management, Staff, and Students of the College in attendance to share in the joy of the occasion.
This Founder’s Day celebration is more than a ceremonial gathering — it is a testimony of the Newgate vision, built on the pillars of innovation, academic excellence, and service to humanity.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Newgate University Minna on this historic milestone and wish the University greater strides in the years ahead.
