Provost Leads Delegation of Students to NOA Stakeholders’ Forum

On Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, the Provost of Newgate College of Health, Minna, led a delegation of four students to the Stakeholders’ Forum on Nationwide Enlightenment Campaign organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Niger State.

The forum, held at the NLC Conference Hall, IBB Way, Minna, addressed key national issues including security consciousness, value reorientation, flood preparedness and mitigation, and the promotion of government policies and programmes.

During the interactive session, the Provost contributed significantly by calling on the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to extend its policy coverage to private institutions. She emphasized that private schools have continued to play a crucial role in producing high-quality manpower for the Nigerian economy, particularly as public institutions face increasing pressure and overstretching in the post-reform period.

The four students who accompanied the Provost were selected from different departments of the College, showcasing the institution’s commitment to inclusivity, academic excellence, and the holistic development of its students. Their participation further underscored the College’s dedication to producing graduates who are not only skilled health professionals but also active contributors to civic and national development.

The forum created an opportunity for engagement between government representatives, institutions, and citizens, fostering dialogue on issues of collective importance. The College delegation expressed appreciation to NOA for organizing the programme and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote civic responsibility, desirable values, and national progress.
