Strengthening standards through collaboration
Pro-Chancellor Hassan Nuhu and Permanent Secretary Sirajo Said Imote lead the charge for quality assurance as the Niger State Ministry of Tertiary Education conducts its annual inspection at Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna.
The Niger State Ministry of Tertiary Education has carried out its annual inspection exercise at Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring quality assurance across tertiary institutions in the state.
Speaking during the visit, the Permanent Secretary, Sirajo Said, explained that the inspection forms part of the ministry’s routine efforts to ensure compliance with established regulations and to promote excellence in the education sector. He noted that the relationship between the ministry and the institution has been built on years of shared experiences and continuous consultations aimed at improvement.
In his response, the Founder of Newgate Group and Pro-Chancellor of Newgate University Minna, Hassan Nuhu (Mayanan Minna), expressed appreciation to the Permanent Secretary and his team for the visit. He described their role as both critical and noble, offering prayers for their continued success in strengthening the education system.
He further emphasized that maintaining high standards in education is a collective responsibility, not limited to regulatory bodies alone but also to institutional administrators. According to him, sustained collaboration is essential in eliminating quackery and fostering a healthier, more productive society in Niger State.
The inspection team was subsequently taken on a comprehensive tour of facilities at both Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna and Newgate University Minna, where they assessed infrastructure, academic environments, and operational standards.
The visit highlights the importance of partnership between regulators and institutions in driving continuous improvement and safeguarding the future of education in the state.
